Features of Mineral Nutrition of Cereal Crops:

Cereal crops are most sensitive to nitrogen and elements that facilitate the full assimilation of nitrogen according to their biological characteristics.

An important role in the mineral nutrition of cereal crops belongs to other elements, including potassium, which in the autumnal period promotes the accumulation of sugars for better wintering, in the spring-summer period ensures cell hydration and maintains turgor, and also participates in the synthesis of one of the main reserve substances of the grain - starch. Magnesium enhances photosynthesis. Sulfur participates in protein synthesis and facilitates more complete nitrogen assimilation. The ECOLINE Cereal Complex (Chelates) fertilizer is developed taking into account the biological needs of cereal crops. The ratio of nutrient elements and their content in the fertilizer is the result of long-term research on the mineral nutrition of these crops.

The fertilizer is recommended for fertilization in the most critical periods of mineral nutrition of plants:

  • Phases of two-three leaves, when plants, having used up the nutrients from the seed, switch to root nutrition. The root system of plants in this period is still underdeveloped, and autumn weather conditions do not favor active assimilation of mineral nutrition elements;
  • In the phase of branching after spring recovery of vegetation - plants intensively grow, photosynthetic activity is enhanced, and the main elements of productivity are formed. In this period, plants require enhanced nitrogen nutrition, as well as magnesium, sulfur, copper, and zinc;
  • In the phase of heading - beginning of grain formation - the formation of the grain kernel and its quality indicators: protein content, gluten content, and its quality. Plants in this period require enhanced nutrition with macro- and microelements.
