The grain filling period is the final and one of the most important stages in forming the yield of winter cereals. It is now that the plant directs the maximum of nutrients to forming grain mass and its quality indicators.
At this time it is especially important to keep the flag leaf and the ear healthy, because they provide the main part of photosynthesis. Fusarium head blight, septoria, rust, leaf spots and sap-sucking pests can significantly reduce not only yield but also grain quality.
An additional factor in achieving a high result is balanced supply of nutrients to the plants through the leaf.
For foliar feeding in this period we recommend
- ECOLINE Complex Grain (Chelates) — 1.5 l/ha
- ECOLINE Phosphite (K) — 1.0 l/ha
The combination of products supplies plants with the micronutrients needed for grain filling, supports physiological processes, promotes efficient use of nutrients and helps the plant tolerate stress factors at the end of vegetation.
Healthy leaf apparatus + balanced nutrition = better realization of yield potential and high grain quality.
